Elaine Storey

Elaine Storey is a founding member and a strong advocate for family aging discussions that direct self-care for loved ones. From the lived experience with her own parents who aged out in cities, Elaine brought her knowledge back to a community where no support services were in place. “No-one wants to think about getting older, but rather than ignore it, there is a need to fling back the doors and embrace all the possibilities and welcome knowledge sharing. Why isn’t there a simple ‘voice activated’ computer? Why not a remote for the TV with an on/off switch, volume up and down, and one arrow for the channels? Why are community-driven senior support services not universally supported through one funding agency?"
